It is learnt that Mahesh Samat, MD, Walt Disney India, has decided to call it a day. Samat had joined Walt Disney India in 2007 as Senior Vice President. He moved up to become Managing Director in three years. At Disney, he was reporting to Andy Bird, Disney’s President, and managed all divisions of Disney India, except ESPN-Star.
Samat has over 20 years’ experience across India, Asia-Pacific and Europe. He is an alumni of IIM-Calcutta, and has worked with corporates like Johnson & Johnson (as MD for southern Europe), Kellogg’s in India, Warner Lambert/Parke-Davis and Boots India.
