Madhuri Sapru takes over from Pratap Bose as Kinetic MD

Madhuri Sapru takes over the mantle of Managing Director of Kinetic from Pratap Bose, who has held the position of MD-South Asia ever since Kinetic was launched in India. This management change became necessary following Bose becoming CEO of O&M India.

As is known, Kinetic is the umbrella brand comprising all outdoor agencies of WPP in India. It was officially launched in the country in January 2006. Kinetic currently comprises Ogilvy Activation, Wallstreet David and Portland OOH. At the time of forming this umbrella brand in India, Bose had informed that the fourth outdoor brand that formed part of Kinetic globally – Poster Publicity – would be launched later in 2006.

Commenting on the Sapru’s appointment, Bose said, “Madhuri’s vast experience across media buying, traditional outdoor, managing large brands and even sports activities makes her, all in all, a superb choice for the Kinetic group. She certainly brings the dynamism that the outdoor business in India is desperately seeking.”

As MD of Kinetic, Sapru will be handling the South Asia operations of Kinetic. Sapru’s strength lies in her ability to build teams with high quality professionals.

She has over 17 years’ experience across industries. She has worked with brands like Nestle, Blow Plast, BPL Mobile and the Tata Group. In almost all her working years, Sapru has played the role of a manager with independent charge in most situations. From vendor development for confectionery to developing brand strategy and brand identity to implementation of marketing communication, from actual marketing of a brand to overall media buying, Sapru brings all round experience to the table.
