Kamal Mohandas appointed as Bangalore Station Head of BIG FM

Kamal Mohandas has been appointed as Station Head of BIG FM, Bangalore. Mohandas comes with over 14 years of media experience in India and in the Middle East, with tremendous expertise in start-up radio businesses. In her new role as Station Head, she will overlook the entire station’s functioning.

Mohandas started her career with STAR TV and subsequently got involved in setting up Emirates Media Inc. and Channel 4 in the Middle East. As Station Head, BIG FM, Bangalore, Kamal will bring in her international exposure to the fore in building and sustaining the brand equity of the station.

Speaking about the appointment of Mohandas, Lakshmi Sharath, Regional Head and VP South, BIG FM, said, “We are very happy to have a media veteran on board with us.”

Commenting on her appointment as Station Head, Mohandas said, “We have a great product to offer, and the challenge that the Bangalore market poses for me is very exciting. We have some very talented people on board, and together with the entire team, we are confident that we will continue to put up a great show, as has been done this far.”
