Kamal Hingorani joins SpiceJet as VP-Marketing & Planning

Low-cost airline SpiceJet has appointed Kamal Hingorani as Vice-President, Marketing and Planning. He will be reporting to SpiceJet CEO Ajay Siddhant. Prior to this appointment, Hingorani was Executive VP, ITC Travel House.

Hingorani brings with him an experience of over 25 years in the aviation and travel industry. He has earlier worked with international airlines like SriLankan Airlines, Kuwait Airways and Gulf Air. He has also worked with multinational travel companies like Kuoni and ITC Travel House, in areas as diverse as Operations, Sales, Marketing, Strategy and Network Management.

Commenting on Hingorani’s appointment, Ajay Singh, Director & Promoter, SpiceJet, said, “We welcome Kamal to the SpiceJet family. His mandate would be to lead all the marketing and strategy planning aspects of the company. With his strong credentials and rich experience, he is a valuable addition to SpiceJet.”

Said Hingorani, “I am excited to be a part of the leading low-cost carrier in the country. In this competitive environment, what matters most is the differentiation from other airlines. I look forward to contribute towards this goal and thereby induce growth and profitability of the airline.”

Hingorani is an alumnus of IIM-Bangalore where he studied Executive General Management. He has done his Post-Graduation in Business Management and is a Science Honours graduate from Delhi University.
