Starcom Mediavest Group has announced a leadership change at it digital marketing practice, Starcom IP. Hari Shankar, who recently returned to India from Singapore, will take on the leadership of Starcom IP India as Director, with immediate effect. He would be based in Bangalore and report to Ravi Kiran, CEO, Starcom Mediavest Group.

Vamsi Vanka, the current head of the unit, would play a regional role, reporting directly to Pushkar Sane, GM-Asia, Starcom IP. He will continue to be based in Mumbai, and focus on new business development for the India market.

Meanwhile, Pranay Anthwal, who has been holding dual responsibility for Starcom Entertainment and Starcom IP as GM India, would now be looking after Starcom Entertainment only. He continues to report to Ravi Kiran.

Commenting on the developments, Ravi Kiran said, “Over the last three years, both Starcom IP and Starcom Entertainment have grown rapidly and are today among the top specialists in their respective domains. As we prepare to put both into a higher gear, we decided to give them their independent leadership, so that the focus is on their respective visions.”
