Hungama.com strengthens senior echelon with three new professionals

The New Year has certainly started with a lot of Hungama for the promotions marketing company Hungama.com, which was recently in the news for getting onboard Nikhil Shimpi as Head of Mobile Marketing and Sunil as Head Planning. The company announced on Tuesday that it has made the three new senior appointments.

Vikram V Prabhu, a veteran in television industry would be the Heading the Mobile Content wing. Prabhu has had extensive experience in programming and content for television for the past 11 years. He has held senior creative positions in Zee Network and ETC and was responsible for shows such as The Dream Merchants, Baaps of Bollywood, Home Theatre, Best of the Best etc.His last assignment was with Rediff.com were he looked after content and alliances for the online portal.

Hungama Mobile, a division of Hungama is a leading mobile entertainment company in South Asia region and is associated with all the major telecom operators. The wing has strong links with the Indian Film Industry through its Bollwyood portal IndiaFM.com.

As per an official communiqué, Albert Barton would serve the group as the Creative Director – Promotions Marketing. Barton has worked in mainstream advertising for the past 12 years, serving institutions like Mudra, Trikaya Grey and Saatchi & Saatchi, surfacing with multiple appearances in the New York Festival Annual, the D&AD 2001 Annual and assorted Archives.

Commenting on his appointment, Carlton D’Silva, Creative Director, Hungama.com said, “Over the years we have seen Promotions Marketing business getting more center-stage with clients seeking a complete creative idea and not merely an execution from an agency. Albert’s extensive experience across multiple brands will strengthen Hungama’s innovative marketing solutions.”

Hungama has roped in Ranjeet Mohan Vichare as the new Account Director. Vichare started his career in Madison Advertising. Over the years he has worked with Rediffusion DY&R, Raymond Limited, TATA Teleservices Limited. With about 13 years of experience, he would be handling some leading brands that are clients to Hungama’s Promotional Marketing services across entertainment, events, digital and mobile medium.
