GroupM effects top management changes at MindShare Fulcrum

MindShare Fulcrum has announced some key changes in its top management. The unit handling the Rs 200-plus crore Hindustan Lever account comes in the custodianship of Himanshu Shekhar, who has been promoted as General Manager, MindShare Fulcrum. Amol Dighe has been promoted as Trading Services Director. He will be responsible for raising the trading product for Unilever across all traditional media – TV, print, radio, cinema and digital. Prior to this, Shekhar was the National Activation Head at MindShare Fulcrum.

Announcing the promotions, Vikram Sakhuja, COO, GroupM, said, “I am delighted to announce this. Himanshu and Amol are two of the most efficient and able media professionals.”

He further said, “In the last six years, Himanshu has contributed immensely to the growth of Fulcrum, especially in print, radio and activation. He has opened breakthrough negotiation practices in print, championed the cause of FM, and has set up a full-fledged activation unit within Fulcrum. Under his leadership Fulcrum has grown the non-TV/ activation space from 5 per cent to 35 per cent of the investments. Under Himanshu’s leadership, MindShare Fulcrum is poised to demonstrate how media can drive business growth for Unilever by breaking new ground and driving impact, while maintaining cost leadership.”

Commenting on Dighe, Sakhuja said, “Amol has been one of GroupM’s finest TV buyers and a seasoned Fulcrum veteran since 1998. His contributions in holding inflation via channel strategies and deal management have been exemplary. In a challenging media market, where the right inventory, properties and salience has to be balanced with cost leadership, I am sure Amol’s experience will be put to good use in redefining trading.”
