FCB Ulka appoints Abhinav Sharma as GM, Bangalore

FCB Ulka Advertising has appointed Abhinav Sharma as General Manager, Bangalore. Sharma will handle clients like Wipro Consumer Care, ITC Foods and UB Ltd.

Based at Bangalore, he moves into the territory that has a history of handling renowned brands like Santoor, Wipro Baby Soft, Chandrika, Wipro Sanjeevani, Sunfeast and Kingfisher.

M G Parameswaran, Executive Director, FCB Ulka, said, “Given his wide range of experience in media, marketing and advertising, he is equipped to handle some of the most challenging requirements of some of our best clients. His youthful enthusiasm should power FCB-Ulka Bangalore and its client brands to greater heights.”

Sharma has moved after a 6-year stint with Grey India where he was associated with clients like P&G, Marico and Kotak, etc. In a career spanning 15 years, he has worked in the fields of marketing and media and advertising.

He was with MTV for two years during the channel’s early days in India. His domain experience in liquor marketing comes from his marketing days at Shaw Wallace. In advertising, Abhinav has been associated with some of the best names today, including Lowe and Leo Burnett.

FCB-Ulka Group is one of India’s top five marketing communication groups and works with leading clients including Tata Motors, Whirlpool, Amul, Zee Network, Tata Teleservices, Hero Honda, etc.
