Dilip Venkatraman steps into shoes of Pugmarks CEO

Pugmarks has a new position in the form of CEO. And, the man in the shoes is Dilip Venkatraman.

When contacted, KS Suri, Managing Director, Pugmarks, said that this development was a 'big forward looking' step. "Pugmarks has taken to trust the management in the hands of a professional CEO. It believes that given the past track record of the current management, ably supported by the investors and combined with Dilip's acumen, this decision will definitely bring in well deserved results."

On joining Pugmarks, the former marketing head at DishTV - the DTH business of Zee, Venkatraman, said, "I have always used technology for marketing, now I am going to use marketing for technology."

Shared Suri, who feels that Pugmarks is a people's company and Venkatraman joining them as the chief executive needs no further explanation. "Since we are entrusting the key management roles, we have high expectations from Dilip."

Laxmi Goyal has all his best wishes for Venkatraman's new destination. "He is hardworking, intelligent and a good person. In fact, I was trying to work out things but unfortunately it never materialised. But, in the near future I would like to work with him again."

Venkatraman joined Zee as the Head of Brand Management of Zee News, where he was primarily in charge of repackaging and repositioning Zee News with 'Haqeeqat Jaisi, Khabar Waisi'. He brings to Pugmarks over a decade of experience wherein his key projects include creating '2424' SMS platform for the India Today Group in 2002, synergistic co-branded events/programmes with Hindustan Times, Hindustan, Mid Day, Outlook, Dainik Jagran, etc. At Zee, he was closely associated with Zee News Wireless GSM LED Tickers

"I need to grow the business and deliver the bottomline." concludes Venkatraman. Add to this the inimitable sense of humour of the grey-haired MD of Pugmarks, "The grey with coming of age and experience blended with the grey matter of a younger professional like Dilip will definitely be a very heady combination."

Technology company Pugmarks , founded in 1996, provides corporates with Intranets, Online Customer Support solutions, Web-based and regular Email messaging solutions, web development solutions and high-end managed hosting solutions. The company provides services to more than 2000 clients including Corporate, B2B portals, Government organizations, Online Media and individual entities.
