Debraj Tripathy joins MAXUS Delhi as GM

Debraj Tripathy, an IIM-Calcutta alumnus, has taken up his new responsibility as General Manager of MAXUS Delhi from August 16. At the same time, LS Krishnan, who was GM, MAXUS Delhi, has been transferred to GroupM’s BroadMind division in Mumbai to work on special projects in the area of programming. Krishnan will take up his new assignment on September 1.

CVL Srinivas, Managing Director, MAXUS, India said, “It is a routine internal transfer and Krishnan’s special projects in programming still need to be worked out.”

Tripathy was taking care of Hindustan Lever’s Food Division as Planning Services Director, Fulcrum, Bangalore in 2002, when Mindshare was formed. “The new role here at MAXUS would be very challenging and I’m quite excited about it,” said Tripathy. His responsibilities at MAXUS would include clients like Hero Honda and Ranbaxy among others.

In 1994, Tripathy joined O&M Bangalore, where he handled brands like, Brooke Bond and IBM. In 1997, he moved to O&M Mumbai where he worked on HLL, Cadbury’s, Asian Paints, etc. Subsequently, he returned to Bangalore to head Fulcrum in 2002, when Mindshare was formed. Tripathy was primarily taking care of Hindustan Lever’s Food Division as Planning Services Director, Fulcrum.
