Daink Bhaskar appoints Prem Kumar as VP-Circulation & Market Development National

Dainik Bhaskar has appointed Prem Kumar as VP, Circulation and Market Development National. Kumar will be looking after the Bhaskar publications. He brings with him a rich experience in marketing, sales and distribution in a career spanning 27 years.

Rajiv Jaitly, President, Sales and Marketing, Dainik Bhaskar, said, “Bhaskar has always been known for great circulation build-up and innovative approaches in this arena. Prem, with his experience and insightful strategic inputs, will further strengthen this.”

On his new appointment, Kumar said, “The media industry in India is witnessing unprecedented growth in different mediums like electronic, radio, print and DTH, and offers great opportunities. Bhaskar, a leader and one of the most well-known and dynamic brands, is expanding fast and I am glad to have got the opportunity to work with such an innovative brand. Our goal will be to pace-up Bhaskar’s growth and further strengthens its position.”

Kumar has led the marketing initiatives at several FMCG giants, including Toshiba, Gillette and Glaxo Smithkline. He has also held senior positions at top companies in China, Sri Lanka and South East Asian countries dealing in FMCG and healthcare products that required intensive distribution in both urban and rural markets.
