Concept Media makes key senior appointments

Concept Media, the publishing arm of Concept Group, has appointed two senior personnel to strengthen the company’s position as one of the leading providers of media solutions and innovative publications. Amit Bhatia joins Concept Media as Managing Director, while Santosh Menezes has been appointed as Senior Sales Director.

Commenting on the appointments, Aldrin Fernandes, CEO, Concept Group, said, “With Amit and Santosh on board, Concept Media will add a new dimension to our existing range of publications. Through their experience and expertise we aim to take the company to new heights in a competitive and challenging environment.”

“I am very confident that this addition to our team will help us consolidate our focus and enable us to continue building our market share in the region,” Fernandes added.

Bhatia brings with him a wealth of media experience spanning over 29 years, including in leading publishing houses like Tata-McGraw Hill and Macmillan India Ltd. He has been involved with design and production of publications, periodicals and in-house magazines for Unicef, ILO, Toyota, BHEL, SAIL, Standard Chartered Gold Card Members Magazine and many others, as also in-flight magazines for Damania Airways, Modiluft and NEPC Airlines across key geographies, including India and the Middle East. His background in arts and literature had him associated with India’s film industry, wherein he had produced two feature films.

Having worked on the launch of Daily News and Analysis (DNA) and The Times of India Group in Mumbai in the past, Menezes has rich experience in the Indian media industry. His proven skills in effectively understanding the advertiser’s pulse and perspective has contributed to being part of the successful launch of specialised verticals, including ‘Westcoast’, ‘Ya! Young Adults’, ‘Me’ – a women’s lifestyle magazine, ‘Bombay Times’ and varied special projects and out of the box solutions like ‘Best Wishes’ wedding magazine, and ‘Brand Equity Quiz series’ to name a few.
