Bharti Airtel appoints Manu Talwar as CEO for Mumbai circle

Bharti Airtel on Thursday announced the appointment of Manu Talwar as Chief Executive Officer, Mobility, for their Mumbai circle. Talwar will be reporting to Jayant Khosla, Director, Western region hub, of the telecom service provider.

In his new role Talwar will work towards improving the network, better customer care and introducing new technologies and value added services in Bharti Airtel’s Mumbai circle. He will be supported by Rajat Arora (CMO), Mohan Kamath (Head-CSD), Sandeep Gupte (Head-Technical), and Rajinder Matharu (Head-HR).

Prior to taking on this responsibility, Talwar was Regional Vice-president – South at Coca Cola India and was based in Hyderabad. He’d also had stints with Voltas, CDIL and Pepsi Foods. Talwar, whose career spans over 17 years, has strong organisational, planning and communication skills.

Commenting on Talwar’s appointment, Manoj Kohli, President, Bharti Airtel, said, “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Manu as the Chief Executive Officer of our Mumbai circle. With successful stints in some of the world’s largest multi-nationals and expertise in managing fast growing businesses, he will take Bharti Airtel’s aggressive expansion and consolidation plans in the circle to the next level.”
