Balu Nayar quits Hutchison Max Telecom to join Yahoo!

Balu Nayar, Business Head of Value-Added Services for the Hutchison Max Telecom and its associated companies in India, has decided on his next venture. After spending five years at Hutchison Max, he is slated to join Yahoo! as Business Development Director, Mobile Asia Pacific, and will be based in Singapore.

“I had a great time at Hutchison but at Yahoo! there will be exposure to many markets. I will be responsible for business development for India, China, South Asia and Australia,” said Nayar.

Nayar has an experience of 16 years and was the Head of Marketing at STAR before joining Hutchison. At Yahoo! he is expected to join from June-end.
