BAG Films makes key appointments for its upcoming news channel

BAG Films & Media Ltd has made key appointments for its upcoming news channel. Rahul Mahajan and Vibhakar have been appointed as Executive Editors. Santosh Tiwari joins in as Deputy Editor-Business, while Kartikeya Sharma has been appointed as Chief Political Correspondent and Anchor for the company’s forthcoming news channel.

Anurradha Prasad, Managing Director, BAG Films & Media Ltd said, “We are happy that professionals from the industry who are known for their good work are joining us.”

Mahajan comes in from Star News where he was Chief of Bureau and was leading the National and City Bureau. He has also worked with Zee News and Aaj Tak and is an outstanding political reporter with 11 years of TV journalism to his credit. At BAG, he will be leading the National and Political Bureau.

Vibhakar is joining BAG Films’s news channel venture from Times Now where he was working as National Affairs Editor. His 10 year experience in television from news organisations like Aaj Tak and Zee News, and his involvement in the 24-hour news gathering drill is a strong plus point. Vibhakar will be handling assignment and news gathering at BAG Films’ news channel.

Tiwari comes in from Aaj Tak where he was handling the Business Bureau. He has 15 years of experience in financial journalism, having covered the areas of finance, telecom, petroleum and economic affairs ministries. He has also worked with The Financial Express and Business Standard. His core strength in business throughout his career makes him the ideal head for Business News at BAG.

Sharma, too, was earlier at Aaj Tak where he was covering the PMO, Congress, Cabinet and Parliamentary affairs, in addition to elections and other political events. He has also worked with NDTV, The Week and The Asian Age.

Recently, Sayeed Ansari came on board at BAG Films as Associate Executive Producer and Anchor from Star News.
