Arnab Goswami set to join Times TV project

Senior Editor of NDTV 24X7 Arnab Goswami is set to join the Times Television project of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Speaking to exchange4media.com, Goswami confirmed the information and said he would be joining as head of content of the news channel by the end of the month.

Bennett, Coleman & Co. is planning to enter the television business with three channels in the areas of entertainment, religious-cum-spiritual, and business.

Media industry sources said the entertainment channel is expected to be titled ‘Zoom’ and will focus on events, music, fashion and lifestyle. The company will finalise the details in the next two to three weeks and the first channel is expected to go live sometime in July.

The last to be launched will be the business news channel and it is not yet clear whether Bennett, Coleman & Co. will have an international tie-up for it.

Goswami had been associated with NDTV since 1995. He had anchored News Hour, the flagship programme for STAR channel from 1999-2003.
