Amitabh Tiwari joins LG after quitting Samsung

Amitabh Tiwari, who quit Samsung India as head of its refrigerator business, has joined rival company LG. Confirming this to exchange4media, Tiwari said, “I have officially joined LG today. My exact assignment is not yet decided. I will get a clearer picture on this tomorrow (Saturday).”

A senior LG official also confirmed Tiwari’s joining the company. “The post has not been finalized and deliberations are on,” the source said, adding, “Everything will be clear tomorrow.”

For Tiwari this is a return to his former company. He was with LG from May 1997 to March 2002, and was Product Group Head for direct cool refrigerators, microwaves and vacuum cleaners. He joined Samsung in December 2002.
