Aegis Media appoints Kartik Iyer as Managing Director of Carat India

Kartik Iyer has been appointed as Managing Director of Carat India. He is taking over from PV Narayanmoorthy. Iyer’s last assignment was to bring in corporate trading company Active International to India.

Announcing Iyer’s appointment, Ashish Bhasin, Chairman India and CEO South East Asia of Aegis Media, said, “We are very happy to have a seasoned professional like Kartik Iyer take over as Managing Director of Carat India. It is the first step towards strengthening Carat India and ensuring that our clients get a world-class media product. Narayanmoorthy will now focus his planning skills and experience on improving the Carat India product quality to be at par with the best in the world, and also on introducing the latest global tools and practices, customised to the Indian market.

Bhasin said, “Moorthy has done a great job for Carat India, and now, in deference to his professional desires and strengths, we are very happy to have him drive the product quality for our group.”

Iyer, a management graduate from IMT Ghaziabad, has 17 years of industry experience, including a long stint in Lintas India, where he was President of Initiative Media, handling several large brands as well as managing Initiative Media nationally.
