Abraham Thomas, Vice President (Sales) MTV, resigns

Abraham Thomas (Vice-President, Sales) at MTV has resigned from his post. A formal announcement for the same was made within MTV, around three days back. As of now, the channel is yet to decide on the replacement for Thomas.

Confirming the development, Thomas stated, "It's been all of two years at MTV, and splendid years at that. MTV is great place to work but there comes a time when one has to move on in life, professionally. I have a few options on my plate, at the moment and I would be taking a call on it in the coming week or so. Would be in a position to make an announcement by then."

Meanwhile, the MTV spokesperson asserts that Thomas has been a significant value addition to the organization during his tenure there, and the parting has been extremely amicable.

Prior to MTV, Thomas was heading the ad sales at SET for the entertainment part of their bouquet. With Sony, his tenure spanned three years and his designation was that of Vice-President. Before Sony, Thomas was with the Indian Express for a significant period of time.

Other changes are also due at MTV. The channel is slated to announce the appointment of Group Account Director (Northern region) in the coming days.
