Sandip Khosla has joined India TV as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. He replaces RK Arora. Khosla would be leading India TV’s expansion plans. Before joining India TV, Sandip Khosla was with Broadcast Worldwide.
“Sandip’s experience in Financial Management and Corporate Finance, with specialisation in media, will certainly help us taking India TV to the next level,” said Ritu Dhawan, Managing Director, India TV.
“I am delighted to join India’s most watched Hindi news channel. The channel has tremendous impact and company is backed by the best human resource in media industry. The challenge before me is to launch new ventures and execute plans to take India TV brand worldwide,” added Khosla.
Khosla’s appointment is significant as India TV has plans to launch more channels and set up a TV and Film Training Institute this year. India TV recently shifted to its new state-of-the-art Broadcast Centre spread over 130,000 square feet.
His first stint with media was as Chief Financial Officer for STAR India, where he handled financial management of the company. He also worked with British Airways as Business Manager for South Asia, before joining another media company, Miditech. Khosla had played a key role in forming an alliance between Miditech and Time-Warner International to set up Real Global Broadcasting.
