Avik Chattopadhyay, CEO India for Saffron Brand Consultants has put in his papers and it is learnt that March 31 will be his last day with the organization. It is not known where he is slated to join next.
Chattopadhyay had joined Saffron in February 2010 to head the India operations based out of Mumbai after 18 years in the automotive and oil industry. He has experience in sales, marketing, strategy, branding, product planning, portfolio management and consumer understanding to the practice of strategic brand consulting.
He has done two stints in Maruti Suzuki India and a stint each in Caltex, ExxonMobil and Apollo Tyres.
Since joining the Saffron team, he has been in projects spanning apparel, industrial products, pharma, media and also a state in India. A graduate in Economics from the University of Delhi, he has done business management XLRI Jamshedpur. He has also taken leadership courses in ISB Hyderabad, and IMD Lausanne in Switzerland. He is also on the India Advisory Board of the CMO Council.
