Rajiv Mishra roped in as COO of India News

Rajiv Mishra has been appointed as COO, India News. Mishra, who took charge from February 1, 2011, has confirmed the development to exchange4media.

Currently, there are three divisions of India News – India News National, India News Haryana and India News Bihar-Jharkhand. Mishra will be taking care of the three divisions and other expansion plans that the group is planning, among other key responsibilities.

Earlier, US-based CineMaya Media Inc had appointed Rajiv Mishra as COO and President of the group. Prior to joining CineMaya, he was CEO, P&M Group, promoted by filmmaker Prakash Jha and Manmohan Shetty. The Group had launched Maurya TV in Bihar and Jharkhand.

In 2008, he was appointed as Business Head for Broadcast Media at the group and later that year, he was elevated to Senior Vice President.
