Nisha Singhania to head Saatchi & Saatchi's Mumbai branch

Nisha Singhania, Executive Vice-President, Rediffusion Y&R, has put in her papers and is on her way to Saatchi & Saatchi India, where she will be heading the agency’s Mumbai Branch. Kamal Basu, CEO, Saatchi & Saatchi India, has confirmed the appointment.

Singhania brings in 10 years of experience in advertising and has worked with agencies like Leo Burnett, Ambience Publicis and Grey Worldwide. In October 2005, she joined Rediffusion Y&R as Business Head, new business and corporate affairs, and was in charge of new business nationally and also taking care of the brand, Rediffusion Y&R. In addition, she spearheaded Brand Asset Valuator (BAV), Y&R’s proprietary research tool in India.

In 2008, she was elevated to Executive Vice-President of the agency’s Mumbai branch. She then took over from Bimal Nair, who had moved on to pursue entrepreneurship.

Singhania, a management graduate from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai, started her career as a management trainee with Grey Mumbai in 1997. After serving there for five years, she joined Ambience Publicis in the planning department. She also did a short stint with Leo Burnett, after which she joined Grey once again, this time as Senior Planning Director.
