MOMS restructures business geographically under two COOs

MOMS, Madison World’s outdoor unit, has announced a top-level restructuring. The company has divided its business into two units geographically -- West & South Zone and North & East Zone. While Rajneesh Bahl has been elevated to the post of COO for West & South, Dipankar Sanyal will head North & East as COO. Both of them would report to MOMS CEO, Soumitra Bhattacharyya.

The official communication from the company states that this restructuring at the top has been undertaken with the twin objectives of providing focused attention to its larger clients and rewarding the senior talent pool of MOMS by giving them greater responsibility.

Speaking about the restructuring, Bhattacharyya said, “This restructuring will provide greater focus to our clients’ business and I believe we are now preparing ourselves to consolidate the phenomenal growth we achieved last year and build upon it.”

Sam Balsara, CMD, Madison World, said, “MOMS is a five-year-old outdoor agency and has retained most of the people who had joined in the last three to four years. This restructuring once again emphasizes our ability to develop managerial talent and whenever an opportunity arises, we are able to fill senior positions with internal resources rather than from outside.”

Speaking on his elevation, Bahl, who joined MOMS in 2002, said, “This is a great opportunity for me personally and I am sure with the support of my team we would be able to have delighted clients on our roster”. Meanwhile, Sanyal, who has been with MOMS since 2004, added, “This opportunity is a challenge for me and I am sure we would be able to keep up the tempo that we have generated last year. We have identified focus areas and will go for them.”
