AAI invites bids for balloon lights in Trivandrum Airport

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has invited for bids under the ‘two-packet-system’ for installation of two ball balloon lights in the city side canopy area with ad displays at the new international terminal building at Trivandrum Airport. The earnest money deposit (EMD) required for this tender is Rs 72,000.

The contract period shall be of three years and shall attract a minimum reserve license fee of Rs 60,000 per ball balloon per month. In addition, the quoted license fee shall escalate by 10 per cent every year during the contract period.

Interested parties having a minimum of one year’s experience in installation and maintenance of ball balloon lights with proven technology and advertisement displays on its surface, or similar types of displays, such as air inflated, automatic, powerfully backlit electrical systems at transportation centre like airports, seaports, railways, bus terminals, including bus shelters, shall be eligible for the contract.

The experience of one year in such installation and maintenance (as stated above) should have been achieved within a period of the previous six years preceding the date of publication of the notice inviting tender. Additionally, the interested parties should also possess necessary competence to supply, install, test, commission and maintain the ball balloon lights.

The tender documents indicating complete details of the license can be availed on payment of Rs 521 on any working day between 10 am and 3 pm till July 28, 2010 on submission of a written request from the office of Senior Manager (Commercial), AAI (Commercial Department), First Floor, International Terminal, Trivandrum International Airport, Thiruvananthapuram - 695008.

Duly completed tender documents need to be submitted latest by 3 pm on July 29, 2010. The technical bids shall open on the same day at 3.30 pm. The date and time of opening of the financial bids shall be intimated separately in due course.
