It is learnt that big spender Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has made the final pick in its media portfolio by zeroing in on Lintas Media Group as its Out of Home partner.
Until now, Unilever’s OOH duties were jointly handled by Kinetic’s Portland and LMG’s Aaren Initiative, where the larger chunk was handled by Kinetic.
With this win, Aaren Initiative has added HUL’s Rs 150 crore out of home account in LMG’s kitty this year, after bagging Nokia’s OOH business earlier this month. Sources informed that LMG had put together an exclusive team that would look after the Unilever account.
HUL’s media duties for India rest with Mindshare as a result of a media review last year, where Mindshare was signed on for three years. The digital business is handled by Omnicom Media Group.
There were no official comments from Hindustan Unilever or the Lintas Media Group at the time of filing the report.
