Zee Business’ ‘India Ahead’ seeks to set the economic agenda of the govt in 2006

The business channel from the Zee group has taken the initiative to throw light on India’s economy. Zee Business has conceived a summit titled ‘India Ahead’ with the idea of setting the economic agenda of the government in the New Year. The event is slated to take place in Mumbai on January 6.

The forum will be chaired by Finance Minister P Chidambaram and will be a platform for industry honchos to interact with the Finance Minister and present their expectations from the government.

Elucidating the reason for coming up with this event, Samir Ahluwalia, Editor, Zee Business, said, “Zee Business plans to make ‘India Ahead’ an annual feature, where key policy makers will set the economic agenda for the government. Zee Business will be the platform for the Finance Minister to meet select captains of the industry, stock market honchos and key bankers. The event will also serve as the single largest gathering of the Finance Minister and the industry before the Union Budget.”

The summit will be attended by a cross section of the industry with confirmed participation of the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, and the Chairmen of the State Bank of India, Life Insurance Corporation and SEBI.

One of the biggest conclaves of its kind, the India Ahead summit is being promoted through television, print and online. The event will be beamed live on Zee Business and Zee News on January 6 from 7:30 pm onwards.
