SONY BMG Global COO to visit India

As part of Sony BMG’s expansion plans, COO Tim Bowen is coming down to scan the Indian entertainment industry for future investments and associations.

The music company is all set to revamp its investment plans for the Indian entertainment industry. Senior officials from Sony like Tim Bowen, Global COO, and Jason Blaine, Director, Global Business Development, are going to make a visit to Mumbai between April 23 and 27 in order to explore investments and associations in the entertainment sector.

“The company is expected to explore various tie-ups and associations in India in order to create a global platform for its numerous future projects. The emerging Indian economy is a hotspot for multinationals, and the entertainment industry will experience this wave. A visit by the top global management of Sony BMG indicates a turning point in the company’s networking ventures within and outside India. A productive visit by the company’s top management could definitely ensure a vast global platform for the Indian entertainment industry,” said an official from Sony BMG.

Some of the action points of the visit include venturing into films through tie-ups with production houses, besides international alliances with Sony BMG artistes. This might facilitate an international release for many Indian and international artists and also see in-house productions enter as mainstream international releases in the future.
