Solutions Integrated Marketing launches specialised division ‘Retail Magic’

Solutions Integrated Marketing Services has announced the revamp of its retail and trade marketing offerings, and the acquisition of a slew of clients. The retail and trade marketing division of Solutions will represent an increasingly important part of clients’ expectations from BTL or marketing services agencies. These include retail branding and store concepts, visual merchandising, trade acquisition and loyalty programmes, merchandising deployment, retail audits and shopper insights. Gearing up to meet this, Solutions has brought together all such services under one integrated division, branded as ‘Retail Magic’.

Kanika Mathur, President, Solutions, said, “Retail and trade marketing is ‘hot’ because it’s our clients’ critical link to the consumer; and as keepers of this last mile, Solutions plays a significant role. We intend to build greater focus on all aspects including data and technology-driven trade relationship programmes; developing visual merchandising and store concepts; driving increased counter share at stores; providing critical shopper insights; and enabling nationwide deployment of POP.”

Such an integrated offering has already attracted great response from clients who seem to share this sentiment. The Retail Magic division is successfully running Pepsi’s Space Club, Eatery Programme and Grocery Programme; national roll-out of Pedigree’s retail identity; retail programmes for HP and Sony Ericcson; as well as the very recent acquisition of Hutch Delhi business.

Retail Magic has also within its fold the Spar-Solutions JV, which focusses on merchandising deployment and retail audits. Sandeep Verma, the CEO of this JV, said, “Spar-Solutions has more than 1,200 field force spread across 100 cities, covering over 75,000 stores every month. Spar’s proprietary web based 24x7 reporting tools represent cutting-edge technology solutions that are now used by Hindustan Lever, Pepsi, Frito Lay, Nokia, Tata Teleservices, Reliance Communications, Pantaloon Retail, etc.”

The Retail Magic team has been expanded to now include two VPs — Shailesh Nigam, who was earlier with JWT and 20:20 Media, and Shashikant. Both report to Verma.
