PROMAX&BDA India Conference and Awards to be held on July 11-12 in Mumbai

The second annual PROMAX&BDA India Conference and Awards will be held on July 11-12 in Mumbai. For the first time, one-day conference will also be held in New Delhi on July 8.

This year's theme is The Sticky Stuff: Applying New Glue between Viewers, Ratings and Revenues. "As India moves into an era of alternative delivery platforms, with direct-to-home television and all manner of mobile magic, we need to generate the kind of following that will keep viewers glued no matter what," said PROMAX&BDA Asia director, Monica Wong.

"We need to know how to create brands able to span multiple platforms and media," Wong added.

This year's PROMAX&BDA India Conference Chairman is STAR India CEO, Sameer Nair. The Awards Chairman is Khalid Sayed, VP, programming and production, (India & Overseas), B4U Television Network (India).

The issues to be addressed during this year's conference include key loyalty factors, new tools for new environments and how to create bonds that won't come unstuck between viewers, ratings and revenues, as well as how leading stations worldwide are creating powerful branding and promotion.

"The PROMAX&BDA event serves as a big inspiration to the entire creative community across television and print," Nair said. "This year, creative efforts will need to focus on developing a strong bond with the viewers across multiple platforms. The conference will provide interesting insights in this area," he added.
