Mane out of Britannia, corporate reshuffling begins

While Satish Mane, ex-GM Sales & Marketing (Bakery), Britannia, is no longer with the company, his exit has set off a chain reaction. His departure has led to a reshuffling bout within the company with several executives being shifted around divisions. Company officials and Mane continue to stay mum on the issue.

Naveen Chopra, who joined Britannia in 1988 and who was GM, Sales and Marketing of the Dairy division will now takeover Mane’s position. Confirming his appointment, Chopra says, “Yes, I have moved from the Dairy to the Bakery division and will be mainly looking after its marketing.” Another Britannia official, Girish Kumar, will take over the post of GM Marketing (Dairy) from Chopra.

Following up on the issue that set off this shift series, exchange4media repeatedly contacted both Mane and Britannia. While Mane confirmed the move, he refused to offer any details either about the development or about his plans. Similarly, Britannia officials, while confirming the move, sealed the issue with a “No comment.”
