Lintas Media Group sees a round of promotions

In recent days, many employees of Lintas Media Group have got promotions. Said Lynn D Souza, Director, Lintas Media Services, "Yes, they are the part of our annual performance review which is a rigorous process. At the middle to senior levels we do not look at just technical and relationship skills but more critically at the leadership potential and values displayed by the individual.

We are strict at this level and have actually culled out of our system people, who don't meet our performance criteria. So, those who have got promoted have much to be proud of."

Kunal Jamuar and Nayan Desai have been promoted to the position of Associate Vice-President, Insight Mumbai, while Suresh Shah has been promoted to Business Director, Insight. Mausumi Kar is now Associate Vice President, Initiative, Delhi. R Venkatsubramanian has been moved as the Business Director, Initiative Delhi.

Ashok Dhadwal has been moved as the Business Director, Initiative Delhi, V Karun has been moved as the Business Director, Initiative Bangalore. Meanwhile, GV Vijay Kumar has been moved as the Business Director, Initiative Chennai.

D Souza said, "We have invested a great deal in our people department over time. We started the PGPAMM programme last year to develop good talent not just for ourselves but also for the industry. For our managers, our HR department has always had a strong training module, but that alone is not enough to keep people. We now apply more stringent yardsticks for recruitment and promotion, and most important, while letting people go. The most brilliant mind is not an asset if he is a poor leader with inconsistent values."

Lintas Media's current roster of clients includes Maruti Udyog, Bharat Petroleum, Bajaj Auto, ITC, UTI, MRF, Saint Gobain, Enamor, Revlon and Idea Cellular among others.
