Irshwin Balvani passes away

Irshwin Balvani, Business Head of Zee Music and ETC Network Ltd, who was also looking after Play TV, passed away in Mumbai on December 3, 2008, following a massive heart attack. He is survived by his wife and two children.

Balvani had over 31 years of experience in the entertainment industry with leading names like Sony Music, Gramaphone Co., The Times of India, Zoom Television, etc. Prior to joining Zee Network in September 2005, Balvani was with the Times Group for 13 years, working on group properties such as PlanetM, Times Music, Times FM and Zoom Television.

Balvani would be remembered by most as a lively person, who had his way of making things cheerful for people around him.

The funeral would take place on December 5, 2008.
