Aegis Media launches second media brand Vizeum in India; S Yesudas is MD

Aegis Media has launched its second media brand Vizeum in India. The organisation has roped in S Yesudas as the Managing Director, India sub-continent. Ashish Bhasin, Chairman – India and CEO – South East Asia, Aegis Media, confirmed the development to exchange4media.

Yesudas brings over 17 years of experience, in India and in the overseas markets, to this venture. This includes his latest three year stint as CEO of R K SWAMY Media Group, where he re-launched Media Direction and launched Digital Direction and Hansa Media Services.

In a prepared statement, Ashish Bhasin, Chairman India and CEO South East Asia, Aegis Media, said, “Aegis Media has a vision for India and a strong commitment to achieve the same. Launch of Vizeum is our latest step on that path. Vizeum will operate as an independent media company within our group in India. I am extremely happy to have Yesu lead this initiative. Vizeum couldn’t have had a better leadership than Yesu and with Yesu’s proven track record, I have no doubt that Vizeum India will be extremely successful.”

Yesudas, who is reporting directly to Bhasin, added, “Vizeum has a philosophy of making the most optimal “connections” with all its constituents, whether it is its employees, clients or clients’ brands and the consumers. They have been successfully practicing this with their unique understanding of motivation, the force that drives the lives people lead and brand they buy. The approach ‘Motivation to Media’ is based on 80,000 interviews in 20 countries. It does match with my own thinking in all these areas. In a few weeks I will announce the team and the clients who Vizeum will launch with in India.”

As is known, Aegis Media already has its media asset Carat in India. The other recently launched brand from Aegis Media was Carat Fresh Integrated. Last year Bhasin had also made the digital brand Isobar and the out of home brand Posterscope functional in India.

Vizeum currently operates successfully in 44 countries across the globe and in almost all these markets it co exists with Carat, the other media brand owned of Aegis Media, and functions absolutely independently.
