20:20 MEDIA celebrates 16th anniversary

20:20 MEDIA, India's first and among the top two technology PR firms, celebrated its 16th anniversary on Monday. Sunil Agarwal, founder and Managing Director, said, "Sixteen years is a sign of stability."

Commenting on the journey so far, Agarwal said, "Earlier, we used to depend on selling to get business. Now, it comes through references from our existing customers. As a stable agency we don't need to pitch any more."

With offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, 20:20 MEDIA has served over 150 clients in the IT industry. Its client list includes Zenith, Intel, Ericsson, Canon, Wipro Technologies, Honeywell Automation, Computer Associates, Capgemini, Texas Instruments, Adobe and Google amongst others.

The agency, which started as a one-room setup with Lotus Corporation as its first client, has spread to five cities with 100 people and 60-plus clients today. According to Agarwal, people development has been the driving force of the company's success. "I believe an atmosphere of fun, discipline as well as freedom to 'be yourself' and innovative work-orientation bring out the best in professionals. The formula has truly worked for us," he said.

The firm has played a vital role in building the image and awareness for key brands in the Indian high-tech and consumer tech industry, evolving from minicomputers to the desktop computer revolution, to adoption of the Internet, and now wireless standards and beyond.
