Viacom18 celebrates 10 years of Colors with #10SaalBemisaal

Viacom 18’s flagship Hindi general entertainment channel Colors TV has completed 10 years.

The channel started its journey with shows such as Balika Vadhu, Na Ana iss Desh Laado and Uttaran, which were received very well by the viewers. Ten years down the line, Colors has maintained its leadership position in the urban market with popular shows such as Naagin 3 and Dance Deewane.

As Colors completes a decade, the network made sure to make the day memorable with the launch of the campaign #10SaalBemisaal.

On the occasion, Sudhanshu Vats, Group CEO, Viacom 18, tweeted, “Entertainment at its inspiring best – the COLORS of a nation, the COLORS of a decade.”

Congratulating everyone involved in the journey, he tweeted, “Our flagship channel ColorsTV completes a decade of entertaining India, with a purpose! A big shout out to Raj Nayak, Manisha Sharma, Simran Hoon, Sapangeet Rajwant, Cheryl Mendonca, Arnab Das, Hemang Halvadia, Rohan Lavsi, Shital Iyer, Sonal Kakkar, Pritesh Magodia and Pavithra for making ColorsTV India’s number one premium Hindi entertainment channel. A special mention of Rajesh Kamat and Ashvini Yardi for starting us on this amazing journey.



Raj Nayak, Chief Operating Officer, Viacom18, tweeted, “Nothing empowers us more than giving you the power to choose! So proud to announce ColorsTV’s 10 year anniversary with #ChunoApneRang. Let’s get together and live every emotion that makes us who we are. #10SaalBemisaal”



To mark the occasion, the channel as released a video, #ChunoApneRang showcasing the entire cast of shows currently on air on the channel.

They have also released another video of its old shows with which it started off.
“10 years. One colorful ride. A decade-long journey which stands true to the testament of your love and support. Join us as we celebrate every shade of life which has made our #10SaalBemisaal,” says the video.



The journey for Colors started in 2008. It soon struck a chord with the viewers with its programmes that were different from the saas-bahu sagas. Shows such as Balika Vadhu and Na Ana iss Desh Laado were not regressive and had a social messages. They were loved by the audience for their concept.  Thanks to these shows, Colors soon became a serious competition for other players and eventually rose to the top.
