Miditech launches ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ on Zee Kannada
Music transcends all boundaries. Taking a cue from that Miditech, one of the leading production houses in India, is producing the music reality show, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’, on Zee Kannada. This is Miditech’s largest venture into regional programming till date. The show will go on air from October 20.

Music transcends all boundaries. Taking a cue from that Miditech, one of the leading production houses in India, is producing the music reality show, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’, on Zee Kannada. This is Miditech’s largest venture into regional programming till date after ‘Spandana’ (Zee Kannada), ‘Bhoomi’ (Doordarshan), and ‘Sadda’ (Zee Punjabi). The show will go on air from October 20.
The show, which will be a bi-weekly feature, will be telecast on Fridays and Saturdays between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm and is spread over 29 weeks. The auditions for the talent hunt show began in Hassan on September 28 and moved across Karnataka, divided into North, East, West and South zones. Besides places like Mysore, Shimoga, Davengere, Raichur, Hubli, Mangalore and Bangalore have also been covered as part of the auditions.
Nikhil Alva, CEO, Miditech, said, “Miditech is thrilled to be partnering with Zee Telefilms to create the Kannada version of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’, one of India’s biggest programming brands. We have no doubt that the show is going to be a smashing success and will help discover and nurture a whole new generation of singing talent in Karnataka.”
As part of the show, 13 top singers selected in each territory will compete to top their respective zones. The talent hunt will be judged by veteran South Indian music artists and directors such as Ratnamala Prakash and Raju Anathaswamy. The show will be anchored by musician Rajesh Krishnan.
