'KBC' buoys Sony's position, but channel still lags behind the big GECs
Sony moves up to fourth position in the ranking of GECs in Week 36. Star Plus retains its number one position, but sees a drop in TVTs and relative share

As per TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 36 (September 1-7) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus retains its number one position. Star Plus, which saw a drop in TVTs and relative share as compared to Week 35, recorded gross TVT of 495 million and relative share of 21.22 per cent in Week 36 (last week, 496 million TVT and 21.99 per cent relative share).
Colors is placed second with gross TVT of 453 million and relative share of 19.42 per cent. The channel’s TVT remains unchanged from that recorded in Week 35. Colors’ relative share stood at 20.10 per cent in the previous week.
Zee TV garnered 411 TVTs with 17.62 per cent relative share. The channel had recorded 395 million TVT with relative share of 17.53 per cent in Week 35.
Meanwhile, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ has given a boost to Sony Entertainment Television, with the channel adding 55 million TVTs and moving up to number four in Week 36. The channel recorded gross TVT of 346 million with 14.84 per cent relative share (last week, 291 million TVT with 12.92 per cent relative share).
Sab TV slipped to number five position, recording gross TVT of 322 million, which is a small surge from last week, with 13.83 per cent relative share (last week, 319 million TVT and 14.16 per cent relative share).
Life OK recorded gross TVT of 276 million and relative share of 11.85 per cent, as against 270 million TVTs and 11.98 per cent relative share in Week 35.
Sahara One’s viewership stood at 29 million TVT, with relative share of 1.23 per cent (last week, 30 million TVTs and 1.32 per cent relative share).For more updates, be socially connected with us on
