Hello FM set to make Pongal memorable

Hello FM Network’s stations in Chennai, Pondicherry, Trichy, Tirunelveli, Coimbatore, Tuticorin and Madurai are all set to make the harvest festival of Pongal a memorable one for its listeners with star-studded line-up of programmes. The station has jam-packed its ‘Festival Weekend Specials’ with shows that will feature the who’s who of the Tamil film industry.

Pongal is considered to be the biggest festival for Tamilians across the world. In order to spice up the festive mood, each and every show on Hello FM will feature one celebrity or the other, who would interact with the listeners, besides sharing their thoughts on a variety of topics. Some of the stars who are set to entertain the listeners on January 14 and 15 include music director GV Prakash, actors Dhanush, Maddy, Prabhu, Karthi, and directors Gautham Vasudev Menon and Vetrimaran.

During ‘Kaanum Pongal’, the concluding day of the four-day festivities, an OB van will traverse across the seven cities, wherein RJs will interact with the public at prominent localities and capture the real festive mood on-air.

Asked for the reason behind such a heavy dosage of Kollywood content for Pongal celebrations, Remy, Head, Content, said, “Let’s face it, cinema is almost a religion embraced by people of all faiths in Tamil Nadu. So, come Pongal, we decided to dish out a special fare featuring the best and biggest of tinsel town.”
