Sachin Kalbag appointed Executive Editor of Hindustan Times

Sachin Kalbag has been appointed as the Executive Editor of Hindustan Times. He will be based in Mumbai.

“Sachin will be part of the editorial leadership team of Hindustan Times headed by me, and will report to Managing Editor Soumya Bhattacharya,  The editorial leadership team of Hindustan times comprises me, Soumya, Sonal Kalra, Anup Gupta, Kunal Pradhan, Sachin Kalbag and Jose Tharakan. Together this team will be responsible for setting the editorial agenda for the larger HT newsroom across centres,” Sukumar Ranganathan, newly appointed Editor-in-chief of Hindustan Times, said in an internal email.

Sachin Kalbag will join Hindustan times from The Hindu, where he was resident editor of Mumbai. He has previously been editor of Hindustan Times as well.

“The heads of all editorial departments in Mumbai will report to Sachin,” the mail further read.

From 2008 to 2011, Kalbag was Senior Editor at Mail Today Newspapers. He has also worked with Daily News and Analysis (DNA).
