 Veteran journalist Shravan Garg retires; moves on from Nai Dunia

Veteran journalist Shravan Garg has decided to retire and exit from Nai Dunia newspaper. He was officially given a farewell on the last day of October. His future plans are not known yet.

After serving as Editor and Group Editor at Dainik Bhaskar, Garg joined Jagran Group and assumed responsibility as Chief Editor of Nai Dunia.

Garg has over four decades of experience in English, Hindi and Gujarati journalism.

From 1981 to 1983, he was News Editor with Nai Dunia. From 1983 to 1986, Garg worked with Free Press Journal in Indore, after which he worked with MP Chronicle in Bhopal from 1986 to 1989. In 1993, Garg joined Dainik Bhaskar and worked there as Editor for a long time. In April 2012, he joined Nai Dunia as Chief Editor.

He has been associated with Jayprakash Narayan, a noted politician and reformer from 1972 to 1977 and has co-authored books Surrender of Dacoits in Chambal Valley and The History of Bihar Struggle.
