Prashant Jha appointed as Political Editor, Hindustan Times

Hindustan Times Media Ltd has appointed Prashant Jha as Political Editor and Chief of Bureau to lead the coverage of politics and government.
Prior to this, Jha was Associate Editor of Hindustan Times, writing on Indian politics and foreign policy. Jha has also worked as political columnist for Nepal’s leading dailies for over five years, focusing, in particular, on the role of the far-left, rise of identity politics, and Nepal-India ties. He has been the Kathmandu correspondent for The Hindu, a contributing editor with Himal, South Asian magazine, and an analyst with the International Crisis Group.
Jha is also a well known author. He has written How The BJP Wins (2017) and Battles of The New Republic: A Contemporary History of Nepal, a deeply personal, reportage-based account of war and peace in his country.
