Xerox launches new software, digital printing solutions for Indian market

As part of its new strategy for the Indian market, Xerox Modicorp Limited has launched 12 software applications and digital printing solutions at Printpack India 2005, a graphic art production, materials and services exhibition. The latest range of offerings from the Xerox stable, include DocuColorTM 8000, Xerox 6050 Wide Format Printer, NuveraTM 120 Digital Production System and Xerox Phaser 7750 amongst the rest.

Speaking to exchange4media on the group’s marketing strategy, Vipin Tuteja, Director, Productions Systems Group, Xerox Modicorp Limited, said, “Our main objective is to create brand awareness by participating in events and carrying out other BTL activities. We are also tying up with printing and publishing agencies apart from associations in seminars. We are catering to the specific requirements of the consumers.”

Xerox also introduced a range of fully integrated software solutions, FreeFlowTM Suite, FreeFlowTM Partner Software and Business Development Tools that help enhance the efficiency, reduce costs and improve profitability. Xerox also extends its Graphic Arts Premier Partners programme to India. As a part of this forum, Indian printers can share knowledge, build vendor relationships and work with printers across the world to enhance revenue streams and increase profits.

In an endeavour to grow the digital printing technology market, Xerox also institutionalised the PIXI awards (Printing Innovation with Xerox Imaging) for the Indian market. These awards will honour excellence and innovation in digital printing applications and demonstrate new uses of technology.

"The digital printing industry has undergone a paradigm shift as there is growing competition demanding vendors to constantly innovate and anticipate customer requirements. We are confident that our new range of digital printing products will provide vendors a competitive edge and enable them to challenge the norms of digital printing as they exist today. Xerox is also committed to launching the iGen3 in India, our top of the line digital production press known for technological innovation,” said Tuteja.
