Whirlpool offers new fridges with special sensors

Whirlpool has announced the launch of the world’s first single frost control refrigerators.

It is the only frost control single door refrigerator in the world with special sensors that maintain the right level of frost in the freezer by automatically defrosting any excessive frost formation, according to a company press release.

"The Whirlpool 6th sense frost control refrigerator provides homemakers the benefit of total freedom from the hassle of weekly defrosting and cleaning water puddles. Besides, this is a high capacity refrigerator with the additional space in the refrigerator cabinet and not the freezer," said Arvind Mediratta, vice president (marketing), Whirlpool of India Ltd.

The refrigerator comes with a host of features including multipurpose chiller, airflow control, spacious interiors and a large crisper.
