Westside & Motorola present Style Showdown in association with MTV

Retail chain Westside and Motorola India have joined hands to bring some fun with the ‘Westside & Motorola Style Showdown’, touted as one of the biggest youth events of the year. The event is being held in association with MTV. The event gets underway from November 3.

The month-long event will reach out to youth in 270 colleges nationally and will conclude with an inter-college fashion show.

The youth event will travel to nine cities across the country – Pune, Baroda, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Jaipur and Indore. To take part in the Style Showdown participants would need to visit the nearest Westside store and fill up an entry form. From all the entries received, eight colleges would be shortlisted for the final fashion show.

The winning team in each city will win a cash prize of Rs 50,000. In addition, Motorola would announce a Motodiva (female) and Motostar (male) in each city who will be awarded the recently launched Motorola Motokzr K1 each.

Neeti Chopra, Head, Marketing, Trent Ltd, said, “The Westside Style Showdown 2005 was a huge hit amongst the youth that created a platform for them to showcase their fashion talent. And, this year, we are back with Style Showdown, promising another exciting event.”

We have created products with special focus on segments like youth, the fashion conscious and the young executive. Style for us means originality and innovation and that’s the reason we chose to be associated with this mega event, where the youth of today will showcase their avant-garde designs.”
