VIP luggage bags Golden Peacock Innovation Award

Luggage manufacturer VIP Industries (VIP) has been awarded with the ‘Golden Peacock Innovation Award-2004’ by the Institute of Directors. Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Science & Technology and Ocean Development Kapil Sibal and AM Ahmadi, Former Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India, presented the award to VIP. Atul Kedia, GM (DnD) and Shashank Naik, Manager (DnD), received the award on behalf of the company.

The award goes to VIP for its product, ‘Emperor Deluxe’ which has three patented innovative and customer friendly features, Central Locking System (CLS), Seculink and Convipack. While CLS is a unique feature that facilitates locking of all the three latches with a single stroke of key operation, Convipack is a flexible panel fixed in the top half of the luggage to pack used or wet clothes and other garments, which need to be completely separated from ironed clothes. Seculink is an inbuilt security cable locking mechanism. In this, the cable remains in retracted condition inside the luggage, and can be taken out, with just a press of button and the luggage can be tied and locked to any firm object for security purpose.

This award is a reinforcement of VIP’s stand in the luggage industry – both in India and abroad. This accolade is also a positive testimony for customers who reposed confidence in VIP brands and its innovativeness.
