Velocity sales vroom; Kinetic Engineering revises annual sales target

Kinetic Engineering’s foray into executive motorcycles is at full throttle, with the sales of Velocity crossing 15,000 plus in a short period of seventy days. Kinetic has revised its annual motorcycle sales targets to 150,000 motorcycles and plans to increase the production of Velocity to 10,000 per month by March ‘04.

Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Jt. MD of Kinetic Engineering says, “Our sales have exceeded our targets and expectations, and we had to increase production to bring down the delivery time to our customers. My feedback shows that customers have appreciated that the Velocity is a great package of style, comfort, 115cc engine performance and features an attractive price tag of Rs. 38,300 – giving it an edge over the competition.”

Velocity marks Kinetic’s entry into the executive bikes segment – the largest category of two wheelers in the country, accounting for over 60% of the bike market.
