Social Wavelength brings ExactTarget to India

Social Wavelength, a digital agency recently acquired by JWT, has announced the launch of Salesforce ExactTarget in India. A part of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ExactTarget is billed as a tool to allow ‘one-to-one’ targeted marketing campaigns via social, email, digital, mobile, etc.

Mihir Karkare, Co-founder and VP at Social Wavelength, said the product would be available either as a standalone solution or as part of the Marketing Cloud solution. Social Wavelength is the India reseller for Salesforce Marketing Cloud products and Karkare said that ExactTarget would be exclusively available through Social Wavelength.

In terms of pricing, Karkare said the solution would be available on a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) model and would have an annual licence fee. He added that it was undergoing trials with a few customers.

“We are optimistic about the offering and feel this is the right time as there is no equivalent solution in the market at present,” said Sanjay Mehta, Co-founder and CEO of Social Wavelength.

Salesforce had bought ExactTarget in 2013 for $2.5 billion and rebranded it as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, which also includes social analysis tool Radian6. Globally, ExactTarget boasts of several high-profile clients such as Nike, Cisco, Expedia, Microsoft, etc.
