Ronita Mitra turns entrepreneur; launches Brand Eagle consultancy

Coming out of her much cherished sabbatical, Ronita Mitra, ex SVP & Head of Brand, Media, Digital and Consumer Insights at Vodafone, has launched her own strategic marketing consultancy, named Brand Eagle. The core proposition of the consultancy would be, “brand transformation with business impact.”

To that end, the consultancy aims to address and offer solutions across the entire spectrum of the marketing strategy from segmentation and its sizing, opportunity mapping, marketing mix and brand identity development to bringing it all alive through an actionable marketing plan. Enabling organisations to build a self sustaining approach towards brand building through capability building workshops would also be on offer.

"The stand out element that Brand Eagle would offer is accountability. Partnering brands to monitor performance and effectiveness of strategy through periodic reviews would ensure that the strategy and plans actually deliver a positive impact on brands and businesses," said Mitra on her new venture.

The inspiration behind the brand name of the consultancy was the eagle– since Brand Eagle would have an “eagle-like” approach to building brands– soaring to new heights while being firmly grounded, far sighted while having the ability to target with great precision.

Mitra is already consulting with two consumer goods organisations and mentoring start-ups through workshops on the fundamentals of brand building.

Given her experience in building brands and businesses across different industries spanning FMCG, banking and telecom– the so called traditional and new age industries– the consultancy is a culmination of all the learnings through her career. Having been at the forefront of leveraging digital for driving brand building and business growth, Mitra will bring her future focused and adaptive ways of working to take brands to a different trajectory.
