Apple India has been strengthening its team with the appointment of Poonam Kaul as Marketing Director. Kaul has resigned from her position as Vice President of Communications and CSR at PepsiCo India and is currently serving her notice period at the company.
Prior to her role at PepsiCo India, Kaul was heading communications at Nokia India before the company was bought by Microsoft.
According to sources, the position of Marketing Director has been newly created by Apple India and Kaul is expected to begin her tenure in July this year. She will be responsible for advertising, communications and product marketing.
Kaul joins Apple India at a time when the company is seeking to up their game. The past quarters financial figures have seen a dip in iPhone sales, although there has been a rise in revenue due to increasing sales of Mac computers.
